“Introduction painting to en Plein Air”

3 day workshop with Julie Dunster

Julie Dunster, is a Devon UK based plein air and studio figurative artist who is passionate about painting from life, on location, in all weather. She works with oils, hoping to capture the essence if a moment in the landscape. She has exhibited landscapes, still life, marine paintings and portraits at the Mall Galleries, London and sold at the prestigious Royal Society of Marine Artists Exhibition for the last 3 years.

At Springhill we are surrounded by many countless opportunities to create amazing en plein air paintings. The Northumberland coastline never fails to inspire any time of the year, notorious for its castle’s harbours and miles of sandy beaches. Luckily enough all of these are right on our doorstep here at Springhill.

Maybe you’ve painted for years in your kitchen or studio and want to explore plein air but never been brave enough to explore the great outdoors with people looking over your shoulder. Safety in numbers is the answer.
