Springhill was alive with the sound of music!
We were excited to welcome folk sensations and BBC Young Folk Award semi finalists Rachel Unthank and the Unthanks to Springhill Farm last weekend.
The incredible sound of their voices filled the farm last weekend as Rachel and her fellow musicians rang out song after song of lilting tradition-cum-modern folk music. To us, their singing seemed to match the spirit of what we and our guests love about Springhill and our farm’s location – beautiful, unique and one that ever changing.
The BBC Website Live Review said of the Unthanks: Every now and again, and I mean, every now and again, once in a blue moon type of every now and again, you hear music that is so complete, so wonderful, unique and yet familiar that it stops you in your tracks. They have that blue moon magic about them, and they have it in spades.
