- 10-amp supply -Important considerations:
- Wattage limitations: With a 10-amp supply, you have a maximum of 2400W to use (230V x 10A = 2300W, allowing for some leeway).
- Check appliance wattage: Before using any appliance, check its wattage to ensure it doesn't exceed the available power.
- Don't overload: Avoid using multiple high-wattage appliances simultaneously.
Guide to our 10-amp Electric Hook-Up Points
A 10-amp touring site provides a caravan with a 10-amp electric hook-up, allowing for a limited amount of electrical power to be used within the caravan. This can be enough for basic appliances like small travel kettles or toasters.
What you can use on a 10-amp hookup:
• Low-wattage appliances: A low-wattage camping kettle, toaster, or hair dryer can usually be used.
• Camping fridge: A camping fridge can be powered, but its usage will depend on the fridge's wattage and other appliances in use.
• Electric hob: A small camping electric hob can be used, but larger hob units might exceed the 10-amp capacity.
Important considerations:
• Wattage limitations: With a 10-amp supply, you have a maximum of 2400W to use (230V x 10A = 2300W, allowing for some leeway).
• Check appliance wattage: Before using any appliance, check its wattage to ensure it doesn't exceed the available power.
• Don't overload: Avoid using multiple high-wattage appliances simultaneously.
Note to Guests
We have a biomass boiler system on site that provides heating and hot water to all our accommodation using sustainable straw bales produced right here on the farm.
